The following paper examines and weighs the Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL). Based on a survey and data collected, the learning strategies were identified using qualitative and quantitative methods. This study conducted at Balıkesir University in the academic years of 2014-2015. The participants are graduate (Master of Arts) students’ enrolled at the institutions of Science and Social. The survey was in the form of a questionnaire which was distributed among two groups and their written strategies were identified. After the questionnaire was completed, the common strategies between the two groups were identified. These strategies were then compared and weighed against the strategies stated as part of SILL. Using this information, various results were achieved that imply possibilities for new strategies and amendments in the present ones. The results also gave some educational implications that need to be focused on for further improvements in learning
